This general policy statement provides a commitment and intent to comply with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974.

Business Ethics Policy Statement

Fraud & Malpractice Policy Statement

Core Group requires all staff at all times to act honestly and with integrity, and to safeguard the resources for which they are responsible. Fraud is an ever present threat to these resources, and hence it must be a concern to all members of staff. The purpose of this statement is to set out responsibilities with regard to the prevention of fraud.

No precise definition of fraud exists; many of the offences referred to as fraud are covered by the Theft Acts of 1968 and 1978 and the Forgery and Counterfeiting Act 1981. The term is used to describe such acts as theft, deception, bribery, forgery, false accounting and conspiracy to commit these offences. For practical purposes fraud may be defined as the use of deception with the intention of obtaining an advantage, avoiding an obligation or causing loss to another party.

Core Group Drugs and Alcohol Policy Statement

Core Group is committed to providing a safe, healthy and productive working environment and to safeguarding the health, safety and welfare of all those affected by its operations. This includes ensuring that everyone working on our projects or in our offices is fit to carry out their jobs safely and effectively in a working environment which is free from alcohol and drug misuse. In order to promote an exceptional safety culture and support our commitment to get everyone home safe every day the Construction Board has approved the introduction of a Drugs & Alcohol Policy. This Policy will be reviewed periodically.

Alcohol or drug misuse can increase health and safety risks, not only for the individual concerned but also for others, such as colleagues, contractors, visitors and members of the public. It can lead to impaired judgment and decision making ability, and the effects of alcohol or drug misuse are likely to be detrimental to the company’s reputation and its ability to deliver high quality services.

Anti-Bribery Policy Statement

Core Group values its reputation for ethical behaviour and for financial probity and reliability. It recognises that over and above the commission of any crime, any involvement in bribery will also reflect adversely on its image and reputation.
